DELIVERY DRIVERS REQUIRED FOR IMMEDIATE START

As a Delivery Driver, you will be required to work as part of a busy logistics team and be available to work Monday - Friday. You will be responsible for working effectively on your own and as part of the existing team. You will be required to undertake national logistical activities that enable the factory-to-door delivery service of our high-quality access equipment products throughout the UK, whilst offering an efficient and friendly customer-facing service level at all times.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review delivery plans and items for delivery

  • Perform vehicle inspections before departing

  • Assist in loading items safely, and efficiently onto a vehicle where required

  • Deliver and unload products throughout the UK in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage

  • Follow relevant customer delivery instructions as required

  • Adhere to planned route schedules and timescales

  • Communicate traffic delays and other delivery concerns and delays to the Logistics Manager where necessary

  • Check that the correct item is delivered on time and in full

  • Always maintain safe driving standards in accordance with road speed limits and traffic notifications

  • Ensure compliance with relevant company safety procedures, and report any vehicle maintenance problems, accidents, and road violations to the logistics manager

  • Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean and in safe driving condition.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

This job role requires you to have a valid, and current driver’s license, with previous experience performing a similar role locally and nationally.

  • Acceptable driving record

  • Able to safely operate and navigate a delivery van

  • Able to understand and operate GPS technology and other relevant apps

  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual

  • Customer-focused

  • Good communication skills

  • Energetic with a strong sense of urgency

  • Good planning and organisational skills

  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

  • Able to problem-solve independently and troubleshoot as required

  • Be adaptable within a fast-paced, changing work environment

  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime where required

  • Possess a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

  • This role will require manual handling work and would require physical attributes to be capable of lifting and carrying products

  • Able to lift, bend, kneel, crouch, and stretch

  • Able to climb in and out of van multiple times per day

  • Able to walk up and down steps as necessary to deliver items.
